ACL Festival Do's and Don'ts - September 26th - 28th in Austin, Texas!

Allowed and Prohibited Items

Guests and their belongings are subject to search upon entry or re-entry.  You can help keep the lines moving quickly by leaving large bags at home.

You may bring in the following items:

Blankets, Umbrellas (small hand-held style), soft sided coolers, baby strollers, portable/collapsible chair (individual units only; no double wide connecting chairs), regular size/unframed backpacks, two factory sealed water bottles up to 1 liter each, empty camelbak or other empty plastic container,ice in soft sided cooler or camelbak.  No large bags allowed., Binoculars, personal camera equipment (i.e. small digital cameras or point and click 35 mm cameras)

The Following items are Prohibited:

Weapons of any kind, illegal substances including narcotics or drug paraphernalia, framed or large backpacks, alcohol (alcohol will be sold at the Festival), Glass Containers, Food or beverages, except for factory sealed water bottles, Skateboards, scooters or personal mtorized vehicles, bicycles inside festival grounds (bike racks are available near each entrance), carts, large chains or spiked jewelry, fireworks, explosives, large umbrellas, non collapsible chairs, hard sided coolers, tents, pest (except service dogs), video equipment: No video recording will be allowed, professional still camera equipment (no detachable lenses, tripods, big zooms or commercial use rigs), Audio recording equipment, No illegal vending is permitted.  No unauthorized/unlicensed vendors allowed.  Unauthorized solicitations, handbills, sampling, giveaways, etc.

Ride the Shuttles:

The free Shuttle is at Republic Square!  There is no parking ag Zilker Park for the ACL Festival, so take the free shuttle instead- a short hop to the park! Board at Republic Square at the corner of 4th and Guadalupe streets, and you'll be dropped off at the Festival entrance on Barton Springs Road.  When you're finished rocking, hop back on for a return trip.  The shuttles begin at Republic Square at 10am and make their final return from the park at 11pm, Friday - Sunday.  Be sure to visit the Austin Farmers' Market at the shuttle area on Saturday from 9am to 1pm.

Other Transportation:

Taxis - Taxis will be allowed convenient access to the entrance/exit, and will have a designated area for pick up and drop off.

Bicycles - Bike racks are available at each of the Festival entrance gates, with plenty of lighting.  You must provide your own lock.

Passenger Drop Off - The passenger drop off area is at the north end of the Mopac (Loop1) Pedestrian Bridge on Stephen F. Austin Drive.  The pedestrian footbridge runs underneath Mopac.  This is the closest drop point to the festival grounds.  It's is a short walk across the footbridge.  Access the drop off point by entering Stephen F. Austin Drive from the east  This is the only official drop off point.  It's quick and easy.  For safety reasons, please don't attempt to drop off passengers at other areas near the park.
